For the last 5 years, I have been studying the socio-economic transitions brought about by technology, focusing on their effect on work and livelihoods. I am working on a thesis on work in transition, how digital technologies are reshaping work, and the adaptability of tech workers in Kenya.
I am interested in UX research, digital cultures and subcultures, the digital economy, livelihoods, emerging work cultures, and the contemporary agency and adaptability mechanisms of participation.
I currently run a research collective at Spur Collective & lead research on online communities, content, and financial services at MESH. I am also a research fellow at Epic People. Looking to work and collaborate on ideas that are imagining and creating more inclusive economies. Get in touch if interested in collaborating.
